Pir Zia Inayat Khan, Ph.D., is godsdienstwetenschapper en leraar in het soefisme binnen de universele soefi-lijn van zijn grootvader, Hazrat Inayat Khan. Hij is president van de Inayatiyya en oprichter van de Sulūk Academy, een school voor soefi-contemplatieve studie en praktijk. Hij is auteur van Immortality: A Traveler’s Guide; Dream Flowers: The Collected Works of Noor Inayat Khan with a Critical Commentary by Pir Zia Inayat Khan; Mingled Waters: Sufism and the Mystical Unity of Religions; en Saracen Chivalry: Counsels on Valor, Generosity and the Mystical Quest. Pir Zia verdeelt zijn tijd tussen Richmond, Virginia, en Suresnes, Frankrijk.
